Well I have to admit that I've only read four of these (Gulliver's Travels, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Moby Dick and The Mysterious Island) and without the hints given would have never guessed any of these without hints. I guess islands names are not something I retained.

It's funny... I remembered Paradise Island (I had the hots for Wonder Woman when I was 12) but didn't think comics counted. She was my hero and I wanted her to be my role model but my mother refused to buy me the right bathing suit. Adolescence can be difficult...

Here is one I hope will be fun. I've listed the names of 15 dogs below. You tell me what TV show in which they starred (or at least were characters). Each correct answer is worth 1 point and if you can name their breed you get an extra point (mutt is acceptable).
Numbers 1 and 2 are two different dogs with the same name -- Dog. On the other dogs, hopefully the names will only bring to mind one show, but if it doesn't, you need to name the one that I have in mind. Most are easy. A few are hard. 1. Dog 2. Dog 3. Duke 4. Backup 5. Comet 6. Pax 7. Flash 8. Freeway 9. Reckless 10. Tiger 11. Zeus and Apollo 12. Meatball 13. Neil 14. Bandit 15. Spray |

"Freeway" rings a bell. A stray found on the freeway, I think. Ah, I have it! "Hart to Hart". A mutt?
I suppose Lassie and Rin Tin Tin were just too obvious. ![]() |

One or two could have been from Columbo.
Zeus and Appollo were Higgin's Doberman dogs on 'Magmum, P.I. Bandit was Johnny Quest's dog. Mutt Flash was from 'the Dukes of Hazzard' Basset hound Neil belonged to Marion and George Kirby, the ghosts on 'Topper' St. Bernard (We are currently discussing them in another forum!) Reckless was the dog on 'The Waltons' Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 03-17-2012 at 02:11 AM. |
