Stitchawl is right! It's cleave.
From the Oxford English Dictionary definitions: cleave, v.1 To part or divide by a cutting blow; to hew asunder; to split.... cleave, v.2 To stick fast or adhere... |

Am I 'bad,' or what!
![]() OK... next question; There is a very serious aliment that affects certain people. This ailment can easily kill a person, and there is no known medicine for it, but it is curable. This aliment was named after a very Victorian idea of what 'chic' fashion dance step a true lady should aspire to... Edit: A hint... It was first used for this ailment when workers building the Brooklyn Bridge became afflicted. Now... name that ailment and the country associated with it! And that's 100 points and tickets to the ball for Javed! The Grecian Bend was a dance step that really contorted the body. When the guys were digging the caissons for the Brooklyn Bridge, several of them developed nitrogen bubbles moving from their blood stream into their joints. Very painful, causing them to bend themselves in strange ways trying to relieve the pain, thus the name. It was my very dear friend, Dr. Jolie Bookspan, who worked out the currently used medical protocols for the hyperbaric chamber used to relieve the problems. ![]() Great Eastern, on the other hand, was a ship I believe. So I'll go with Great Eastern as the odd one out as all the others are train related and that one's ship related. |

Thank you!
OK - without googling - name the five largest countries in the world (by area) and the two smallest? Special karma prize if anybody can, in addition, name the largest land-locked country in the world! |
