Avoid Brighthouse Financial. Extremely hard to get to a person to talk to, and when you do get someone, they say to contact someone else. This after sending a paper mail telling you to setup an online account (with Brighthouse).

Barnes and Noble package got stolen. I live in a high rise and dumping a package outside the building to me is not "delivered" Some ass stole my package. B&N refuses to replace. Basically calling me a liar for tracking showed "delivered" Usually companies has insurance to cover these issues and will refund/replace it. I have no history of abusing deliveries. I am so red hot mad I can scream. I actually paid for expedited shipping to get UPS (where its held at a UPS location automatically) and they still sent it vis USPS. like WTF. Barnes and Noble lost my business. I am going to have my credit card company charge it back. So FU B&N you are going to eat the charge anyway. I should have just gone to my local store for th ebooks.

Save me from the office drama!

I get you're disappointed you didn't get the other position you applied for. That doesn’t warrant an emergency meeting with HR and literally walking out on the job you're supposed to be doing. And leaving me to pick up your slack.

There are other doctors in the practice my doctor belongs to. I wouldn't walk in, but I could call first. I would sooner go to an urgent care clinic than meet with a doctor I don't know at my doctor's practice. i did have to see a different doctor when the office called me to cancel my annual physical because she was taking the day off. I wanted to reschedule with her, but the office said it would be two more months, so I saw someone else that week. I go once a year but haven't seen the doctor I've seen for 30 years in a year and a half.

okay, ordering extremely fragile wafer cookies at the same time as heavy boxes of cat food is not the best idea...

I compensated for it a bit with a big-a$$ gas oven/range, Viking, for the log house (you guys may remember) and a soapstone surround/walls for the fireplaces that you could also use as overnight cooktops (awesome on oats!), but still...not an AGA.

AGA are not cheap. I did watch a program on how AGA are made. They are built like a tank. But they are insanely expensive and they cost a lot to run. No thanks.

I've been taking to use our air fryer more often it cooks faster and uses less energy.

I always buy those by going physically to the store. Fragile wafer cookies, I mean. Though my favorite sort seems to have disappeared recently (it's not in online stores either).

Fine. We all gotta eat, but BYGOD, then you better let me instantly and immediately put it AWAY for the rest of my damned visit. Pop it up 5x more, and NOPE (once more, really for me, but I'm remarkably intolerant), that's it for you and me.

There are about two, total, on-the-net cooking blogs that are actually unique, where I would honestly go back, even grinding my teeth about it--every other cooking blog known to The Internet is just re-spewing someone else's cooking and recipe ideas. I can find whatever you are peddling, someplace else that will be more respectful of me as a visitor.

I'm not asking for NO ads, no videos, no thirds--but have the decency to let me put them away and ENJOY your site, if it's not too much to ask. (I also really dislike that cooking-blog-network thing that has the floating hearts and stuff? AGHGHGHGHGH!)

Hitch
I have a solution for that sort of mess. I use Firefox along with Adbloicker Ultimate and Ghostry. Solves the problem most of the time and if it doesn't and i have to turn them both off to work, I'll just find another site to use.

I was OK when ads used to be small(ish) and not amimated or with sound. Now we get pop-ups, animated adverts with sound, virus laden ads, ads the sit on top of content, flashing ads, and more. So with Adbloker Ultimate and Ghostry, goodby to all that spam.

Well, by the time I put in the big Viking (60"), and then did the soapstone surrounds around the two fireplaces, I think I spent more than any sane person would. OTOH, it was the (the Viking, I mean) the centerpiece of the kitchen, and the two soapstone surrounds (always, with bubbling this or that on it!) were the foci in the living areas. LOL.

I am so ambivalent about the air fryer thing. Firstly, I have a convection oven. I mean...just for the first damn thing. But secondly I have a life full of kitchen tools and gadgets. Blender, Food processor (Breville) (we make bread!), big-ass stand mixer (yes, yes, KitchenAid, of course) and all that, I have no idea where the hell I would put it. THIS house does not have room for a 60" stove or anything like it, trust me!

But I do hear a lot of good things!

It's turned into a chest thing. When I'm up I don't notice it that much, occasionally a bit of a congested sounding cough. But I've tried pills to get things to loosen up in my chest to get rid of it and that won't work. When I lie down I start to wheeze, bubble and whistle. So I'm now using my reading pillow to sleep in a more sitting up position so I don't keep myself awake. Last night was a bit better than the night before, so at least there's that.

I also tire very easily. Yesterday I cleaned for a little bit and afterwards I had to sit down to catch my breath. I went to the shopping center a couple of times this week to get essentials (800 meters on bike and then maybe a total of 100 meters to the supermarket/drugstore and back to my back) and I needed to lay down for a while after I got home. Today's big thing will be to take the paper to the recycle bin 50 meters down the street.

Biggest question is if it's a good idea or not to visit my parents tomorrow. I think it's better to sit it out (so my sister goes on her own), but my sister thinks I should go (my mother's birthday was yesterday and my mother's medication needs to be done for the next two weeks, which is something I always do).
I have two inhalers. One is Albuterol and the other is Luforbec. I use the Luforbec as a preventative daily and if I get the cold, I use it more often alone with the Albuterol. I have have Beconase which is a nose pray because I can get a runny nose when I get hot. I also take the generic version of Claritan.

My allergies and asthma are well controlled. It's mostly when I get a cold that my asthma bothers me most.

We have a gas hob and a double stove wall mounted. One of the stoves is fan assisted. I do like the air fryer. It's easy to use and it cleans up pretty easily,
