We had worse then a power outage last night. We had an internet outage. But fortunately it was back up and working when we got up this morning.

I just took some ibuprofen, hopefully it'll help enough for me to move with being too sore.

Well, karma turns out to be a you-know-what. On Tuesday afternoon and all of yesterday the three guys emptied the yard of most of the stuff my father "stored" there. It was also very overgrown with a creeper with very nasty thorns. My father tried to get rid of it but gave up after he found that the thorns not only pricked through thick denim jeans, but also his thick leather thorn proof gardening gloves.

They didn't know and spend a day and a half cursing and muttering getting rid of the stuff. Apparently they didn't have (electric) pruning shears so the resorted to using a reciprocating saw to cut it down. But they still had to pick up the cuttings to dispose of it.

I never understood why they went over to these new push button electronic locks about 6 years ago. They fail at least twice a year and I have to get someone to open it and now they can't do it. Before that we used our own locks on them.

Wednesday the club got one of their male workers to break open the locker and they put all my things in a plastic bag. I picked it up when I went in to swim and put things in another locker. The only available lockers are at the bottom, which is too bad. I'm 72 and have bad knees. I can manage, but it's not good. I learned when picking out a locker that there are a few other ones that don't work and they haven't fixed them.

Someone nearby has just (today) started ordering deliveries and getting their address wrong.

I've just had the third delivery person ringing our doorbell.

It's just an annoyance at 9am. The earlier ones at 2.30am and 7.30 am were a bit more irritating.

I hope they get their ordering address sorted out soon!

You sure it's a wrong address? There's a scam where people randomly ship you (cheap) items for... some reason, I think to leave fake reviews. It's called 'brushing.'

I'm sure. There are several similar addresses around here, and similar things have happened before. Although not usually with food delivery services at 2:30am!

I had an interesting delivery. We live in the country, next to a corn field. One evening we get a fast food delivery (Burger King) which we didn't order. I'm talking to the delivery guy, saying we didn't order it, and a guy working in the field comes over and said he ordered it. I guess the delivery app didn't have an option to deliver to the field on such-and-such road.

Wait, what? You have delivery people at 2:30 in the bleeding morning? Seriously?

(If it were me, I'd put up a sign, post-haste, on the front door, by the bellpull, whatever: if you are looking for Party X, there is nobody here by that name. S/he has gotten their address wrong, sorry.)
