Are you bringing up NickelMenu (bottom left corner of home or library screen should show NickelMenu). Tap on that and then on KOReader from the list of options displayed.

Yes that's how I'm launching it, but it looked the same before. I briefly uncommented the line in nm/koreader without commenting the one in nm/kfmon and had 2 entries for KOReader under the NickelMenu. One of them displayed a kfmon "launching" message while the other one didn't but still launched normally. After commenting out nm/kfmon now there is only 1 entry for KOReader, and it doesn't have a "launching" message. That's the only difference from before. Hope I did it right

If you don't see the "Lauching KOReader" banner, then it's going through NM without KFMon

I'm trying to install the koreader and plato using the automatic script. I created a folder on my desktop and downloaded the script and koreader package that you have on the first page. I followed the directions of unblocking the script and running the script. When I run the script I just get this transperant pop up windows that quickly vanishes. I thought the install was that fast, but when I safely unplug my kobo nothing happens it just goes back to my normal kobo UI. No reboot or anything. I've tried to reboot it and nothing.
Can the issue be that I already have nickel menu and nickel clock installed? Should I reset the kobo libra 2 to factory? Or is something else going on. Thank you in advance, I appreciate any guidance. Oh I tried this on two different computers, both using windows 11. |

Just open powershell as an administrator, and type: Code: Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned and later: Code: Y Execute the script with right click open with powerhell and install the things and then change it back if you want with: Code: Set-ExecutionPolicy AllSigned |

Hello,
I installed both Plato and KOReader using this script. But I have an issue, my touchscreen seems to be out of place when navigating in both apps, like, the touch coordinate becomes unaccurate. |

Keep https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/10107 in mind, as that's what happens on the Touch B because of it

Hi. 2 questions:
On step 4 or the install guide, we change the ExcludeSyncFolders to ignore . files. My question is does this persist over firmware upgrade? Say if I add that file on a kobo and give it to a technically impaired friend. When they get an Over The Air update for nickel will I need to repeat the process? Second question. the value in ExcludeSyncFolders Quote:

The ExcludeSyncFolders entry in the .conf file will persist over a firmware update.

@blackMysticCat: Do a search (by posts) for ExcludeSyncFolders in this subforum, we've discussed various instances of that in the past (because getting it wrong *will* do fun and interesting things to your Nickel db and data ;p).
