Excuse me for jumping in, but I found it useful to have the image separate, as I wanted to keep my UK firmware (for the date format) and that meant I just needed to download the few KB of "/database" files rather than the few MB of unneeded image file!

Clean install...no previous hacked files.

The files were not laid out as you describe...so I moved them to agree with your listing. Got the new_opt file.
Same error messages appear. The SD card has a number of log files that say

"error while copying: b:/libfskLoad.so to /tmp/libfskLoad.so: Fsk error, code = -41" or

"[prepareMcopy] exception: invalid type"

It's igorsk's flasher + new_opt.img, but without scripts ("/database"). The igorsk's flasher itself is about 160k, so it's not a bid deal.

Scripts and "firmware" are divided not only to not have to download extra mbs, but because scripts are expected to change much more frequently, than firmware.

Your error seems to be a very simple one and it probably is a result of not having the right file in the righ tplace. I'd try:
a) removing all "flasher" related files from SD card and rebooting the reader
b) downloading the latest zip (it combines both the flasher and new_opt.img)
c) unzipping the zip so that you get the files in the right places from the beginning
d) rebooting the reader

Kartu, I've uploaded the files but had problems with merging. I guess I still don't have the hang to it. Could you check if I broke something on the ru wiki site or any other site? I'm really terribly sorry if something is changed.
At least I added the links to the pdfs.

Mike, as a rule of thumb, before pushing something you have to pull/merge locally first.

I'll check what we got on server.

Kartu, I think I didn't break any content, but I probably mixed it up a little. I did the pull first. Then I added my files. When merging in repository explorer, I had some strange looking branches which merge together in the end. Then I did the push.
So I'm sure I didn't lose anything.
I'm curious what you'll find out.

Did as you suggested and copied the latest zip file to the SD and unzipped it, files did not show up in the right place…..strange. Anyway moved copies of files all over the place on the SD. Guess what it worked………

Will now read user manual.

Your help greatly appreciated.

Losing anything already commited is actually, not possible, but overwriting is (old version will still be accessible).

Minor changes in ru/InstallGuide.wiki & FeatureRequests.wiki were overwritten, but I've restored them.

Thanks Kartu. I'm really sorry for that.
Let me know if you found any flaws once you read the manual.
I'll probably split the downloads to the english and german wiki page. But I'll do that with the online editor.
I wonder why there is no upload function in the project page where you just can upload and then tell the page that the i.e. the new upload replaces an old file.

But that's just me.

Mike, no worries it's not a big deal.
Google doesn't provide web interface for editing localized wiki pages, so you'll have to go mercurial way.

"bottom left" is correct. I just didn't find better name for it, maybe somebody could suggest better name.

Kartu, where you have global for key assignments, could you add the joypag enter? I'd like to have hold the enter shut off the 505 no matter where it's at. Menus or reading.

Right now, I can only sort it for when reading.
