Batteryless operating the EE

I tried to use the EE plgged to ac, but without the internal battery, and it seemed to work well.

This is the way I use to operate my laptops when they are plugged to ac. Why? 5 hours of charging when the battery is @ 100% is not healthy for it.

Is it true for EE too?

I thought that's not an issue for Lithium Polymer batteries? I could be mistaken but I remember another forum member mentioning it.
