I hope there is space on iOS for you. Mysteriously Kobo and Kindle keep updating their apps merrily. I did see somewhere that there was a potential loophole in that by removing links to external stores from the app it could remain. Would work for Kindle/Kobo and other single store readers but possibly not for Bluefire. Fingers crossed for reason to prevail.

At this point, I'm not holding my breath.
Well you will be more than welcomed in the Android community.

Love to check out your product when it's offered on the Android platform.

One thing I will mention is there are a lot of good free apps on the Android market. And the really good eReaders are very cheap $5 for Moon, $3 for Aldiko. If you don't have a free version, you might want to have a trial version else you will see a very poor adoption. (Both Moon and Aldiko have free and paid versions)

im finding bluefire accepting my calibre converted books better than kobo reader app.

i like the bluefire, i only wish that the page turns were smoother/faster.

if i change the paged turns to anything else besides the page flipping they change pages fast. its the page flipping option thats running real slow and feels unresponsive. other than that it reminds me a lil of stanza before it became a buggy mess. (wich i loved)

Question for Micah

I have been keeping up to date on this thread, especially seeing as the Stanza app for the iPad seems to have been abandoned. I am now really worried as to whether the Bluefire Reader App will be updated to be compatible with IOS 5 which will be released by the end of Summer??

Yes, we have every intention of being compatible with iOS 5. We have not yet completed the assessment of any necessary changes , but we certainly will be doing that in the very near future. And we look forward to leveraging some of the great new features included in that upgrade moving forwards.

Have not read through all the posts so don't know if this has been addressed or not. I noticed that when I delete an ebook in Bluefire reader app, it is not really deleted. If I access the folders through DiskAid, the ebook is still there. I have to physically go in through DiskAid and remove the ebook from the iPhone.

Micah, any chance of adding a scrolling feature? There are users that loved that feature of iFlow and now that they are gone there is a niche looking to be covered.

But before you do all the work for iOS 5 (that us 3G owners will not currently be able to take advantage of), are you ever going to fix the bugs causing the crashing with a jailbroken iOS 4 device?

That is a serious bug as eventually, it will cause all your available free space to be taken up with not really deleted eBooks.

ADE for Windows does the very same thing. You supposedly delete and all ADE does is remove the ePub from the XML file so it isn't shown.

Jailbreak bug still exists. Just tried using the app on my jailbroken ipad2 4.3.3 and it locked up like Ft. Knox. Had to do 2 finger salute to get the ipad back from the grips of frozen land

This app has not been updated since Feb 3, 2011. That is a pretty clear indication that it is not going to see many, if any, updates. It has potential, but it still needs a lot of added features.

Thanks for the tip on ADE. Removed my expired books in Windows Explorer.

The Bluefire team is focusing on trying to fix the bug we have on Jailbroken iOS devices at the moment. Thanks all who have reported on this bug on this board and via email. If anyone else has experienced this issue and is willing to provide information about the bug e.g. device type, OS version, tool used to Jailbreak, etc. We would certainly appreciate an email with that info sent to support@bluefirereader.com
Thanks,
Micah (UX Director at Bluefire)
