I've never accidentally turned on the light. It's just too easy to swipe to the the left using my left thumb.

Nobody's saying that's happened.

This is a simple thing, and I don't see why you feel compelled to complicate it. The current firmware has a "slide to adjust brightness" feature. akorx is looking for a way to disable that. "Turn on the front light" does not address that in any way; it is a useless response.

Excuse me if my settings are not totally right (Spanish interface). When you are reading a book, there is a "Reading settings" in the option bottom right. You can turn off the "slide to adjust brightness" there (3.11 at least)

I tap left to go to the next page and I have accidentally turned the light off more than once (it's normally on 6), so I can understand why someone would want to disable this.

Bottom right: Three lines => { Annotations | Search | Dictionary | Reading settings} Perhaps it has been removed in newer FW.

I think the confusion may be device-related. In fw 3.12.1, the Aura6" has a Reading Settings checkbox 'Two-finger swipe to adjust brightness'.

The Aura H2O and AuraHD don't have this option because they don't have the 2-finger option, they have the left-edge option instead.

Firmware 3.13.1 (on the H2O) does not have an option to turn off the swipe to adjust the light.

3.13.1 on a H2O does not have that item in reading settings.
