Try PW4. I had mistaken my PW4 for PW3. Make sure you get that right.

Reset fresh and start again

- If you need to reset your device whilst in Demo Mode, enter ;uzb in the search bar to enable USB storage mode then create an empty file named "DO_FACTORY_RESTORE" at the root of the Kindle storage. Once this has been created, reboot the device.

Don't refer to /mnt/us. Copy to root folder.

So you your device /dev/sdb is your Kindle, just do sudo mount /dev/sdb /mnt.

Inside the /mnt, you add the files to that root folder.

Edit: got the jailbreak working after hard reset and disable airplane mode and redo all steps ( KT4)

Trying this on my old Voyager on 5.13.6. However, when I get to step 9 I get an "Application Error" message on selecting "Get Started".

I don't know how to get beyond this.

Any helpful pointers?

hard reboot the device by holding the power button, enter the demo menu again and select Sideload Content -> Done once more without connecting to USB
Select "Help & User Guides" then "Get started"

If the post above didn't help, try these steps for kindle voyage:

Are you in 'demo' mode ? Type ;demo into the search bar - select the "Sideload Content" - connect to PC- if all files (demo.json, KV-15.3.6. and goodreads folder) still in .demo folder, overwrite 'demo.json' file)- press Done- then you probably get Error - go to step 8 below - then go step 7 below
"7.Exit the demo menu and either enter ;dsts or swipe down and select the settings icon to enter the device settings menu
8.If an application error occurs, hard reboot the device by holding the power button, enter the demo menu again and select Sideload Content -> Done once more without connecting to USB"

I got the JB done, I am now trying to get Librarian or collections up and running but it gets stuck on the rebuild collections screen.

Neither Librarian nor the Calibre plugin currently support the PW5 (because free time has been harder to come by than I hoped).

Those should be the two major unsupported things right now.

The Easter week-end allowed me to catch up a tiny bit, so I'm *hoping* to get this done sometime in the next month, but don't hold me to that .

EDIT: Oops, you appear to be using a KOA3. That *may* also apply to your device, I honestly can't recall.

I appreciate that, I happened to check the forum and see that there was a JB coming out the next day. One of the main reasons I JB is for collection management.
