Nightrider by David Mace The enemy nation had set up a base on the 10th planet. Nightrider was a new stealth spaceship using an undetectable gravity drive. It was on a mission to destroy the enemy base. For reasons I do not recall, the ship's computer goes all HAL-9000 on them and kills most of the crew, before the ship is destroyed. |

I would like to hear what you think of it. I preferred the second, Avempartha to it. I read it out of order though, so I think it took away from the story a bit. I just bought the rest of them, but I have a few group reads to get finished and an ARC to review before I start the third.

I bought the first book too. Actually I bought several other books as well so now I just have to decide which book to start on.
The other ones I got was: Shantaram The Hunger games The key of the keplian |

I really liked both Shantaram and The Hunger Games. Shantaram is a long read, but a highly enjoyable one (not that the book isn't without its flaws, but it was good enough that I plan on reading the sequel once it is released). Once you read the Hunger Games you will likely run out and buy the next two books in the series and dive right into them.

![]() Does anyone know why some books are only available in the USA? I don't really understand since I could buy the paperback or bound version without a problem... what's so different about the e-book version? |
