Two little questions about Plato:
1) I use Kfmon to launch Plato, Is there a way to make Plato the default App to run in stead of Nickel? I use SSH to connect to Kobo, so command line instruction is OK for me. 2) I like the scrolling method in Fit-Width Zoom Mode for viewing the scanned PDF book. But sometimes, the text lines at the top or bottom of the screen are split horizontally, making it difficult to read. Is there a solution ? Thank You! |

Code:
unzip kobo-update-4.12.12111.zip KoboRoot.tgz
tar -xzvf KoboRoot.tgz etc/init.d/rcS && rm KoboRoot.tgz
patch -p 1 < firmware.patch
mkdir -p usr/local/Plato
cp plato.sh usr/local/Plato
unzip -d usr/local/Plato plato-0.6.5.zip
touch usr/local/Plato/bootlock
tar -czvf KoboRoot.tgz etc usr
You need to add a text layer to your PDF. |

@baskerville also offers a standalone boot option, if you're launcher-less
![]() EDIT: Too slow! ![]() EDIT²: @baskerville, I'm seeing a couple more things in your post than in the README in the repo, might be helpful to make it complete (unless you want to somewhat discourage random people from trying that, which I'd perfectly understand ![]() |

One thing you might want to do is to increase the default height of the summary bar: Code:
[home] summary-size = 2 |

I had the problem again that the reader was empty after not using it for a week. Sadly enough, the log file seems to be re-created after a cold start from a drained battery; its creation date is of the first boot after charging the reader again and all information that was in it before is gone.

Hi, I don't know how the fonts work in this reader. Is there any option to change the font used by mupdf for epub files? Thank you!
Edit: After using this thread as a rubber duck, I realized fonts are stored in /mnt/onboard/fonts or wherever Settings.toml specifies is where the fonts are stored. I just had to create that directory on my device. Last edited by 7596ff; 04-06-2019 at 02:38 PM. |
