My faith in humanity is at least a wee bit bolstered by the runaway success of a work of such hard science fiction. Granted, it's also competency porn which has been proven to sell in spades, but it's maybe reasonable to expect extreme acts of competency from the handful of people humanity opts to launch into space.

I know my question does not really belongs in this thread but it is a book specific / reader problem. I have problems to read The Martian (epub) with Mooreader pro. All images appear twice The maps for example two times the same. In Montano everything is OK. I have this problem with NO other book.
Anyone similar experience and perhaps a solution for Moonreader?
Again apologize fort the 1/2 OT.

My number finally came up at my e-library and I couldn't put it down. Great book. Got my wife logged in to my overdrive acct and she's reading it now. Looking forward to the movie.

Having just completed my reading, I can tell you to avoid Ghost Fleet. Even though the publisher's blurbs read like "Ripped from tomorrow's headlines!" it's not so good. Basic tech errors made it less credible than The Martian. Well, to me, at least. YMMV.
