Haha Ellen that is great news. You are making it VERY hard for me not to splurge again. One of the things I really like about this device is the buttons on both sides for paging. That is really cool. I'm going to try to hold out for your thoughts though.

(ColdSun looks at the Walgreens order page again).

Sigh.

Be sure and give up a review. I am hoping for some reviews before mine arrives. If it should be a lemon I would like to know. (lol) Hoping it is as good as it looks in the write up.

Tracking updated for me as well. The first entry is US so the Walgreen CSR I spoke with was a little off about it shipping from Indiana - it shipped from outside the country. It arrived in Indianapolis just after midnight today so I'll have it Monday.

Thanks for this note ColdSun. That A7HT sounds very interesting. Assuming the rumors about a possible Kindle for Android app are true, this should be extremely versatile device and reader.
Regards,
Raymond

My two sons have the A5IT (Archos 5 Internet Tablet) and I've been playing with their devices. I was impressed with the price of the A7HT (it will be released at $179). It isn't as fast as the A5IT though.

FYI: There is a duplicate thread on this at https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76233. This thread has much more information though.
Actually, this thread is the duplicate as the other came first.

Like we care! That thread was under a different forum and has pretty much died. It never develped into the source of information that this thread did. So what's your point?

Well, I've taken the plunge as well and am in for one. I, too, figured that _someone_ should have reviewed it before I receive mine (and this way it's still on sale). Just an FYI, if you look on-line for Walgreen's coupons, you can also get additional savings; I got a $10 discount for using BASKET10 which I think expires on 3/20. It pretty much paid for postage and tax, at least.

ColdSun,

Just go ahead and get it. It is $100 compare to everyone buying $500 ipads. Beside you can always return it, give it as a gift, use it as a back up device, or even as one one take around and are not bothered if something happened to it. My personal favorite reason to get it, is because you need it for your collection and we need to support LCD color readers.

Besides, you know you are going to like it.

Yes, as of 12:27 CST.

Some jerk wrote a review about it on the walgreens site. He obviously has never seen the device and bases his review completely off the listed specs.

Very sad that he was all worked up enough over the specs to post his thoughts. Probably someone from "here" who posted about the iPad.

My point is to point out that this thread is actually the duplicate since the other one was started first and you said the other was the duplicate which it isn't.

Kind of like people giving eBooks on Amazon a 1-star review when they've never read the book.
