Found this photo of an earlier Philips e-book reader prototype. The navigation keys look very familiar, don't you think?

The news item "Saddam's act of defiance..." appeared in the London Times in July 1, 2004 to give you an idea when this photo was shot.

Since iRex is a Philips spin-off that's not too amazing :-)

Alexander, nice find.

Mmh, prototyp's flip bar is on the right side. Maybe I would like this alignment more.

What I am ashamed about, is of noticing the existence of the "download" button. If this is july 2004 it means no discussion about useability issues since the first prototype.
