Cybook Opus - Transfer Series info?
I have a few books in Calibre that I've set a series and series number for. When I transfer them to my opus, there's nowhere (I think) that shows the series info I set up in Calibre (I'm running firmware 1.9 as I've seen people having issues with 2.0 and I really don't feel like fighting with my device since it basically works; I'm hoping this isn't the answer, obviously
![]() I've already figured out that I can have them sort by series by tweaking the file save template to read something like "{author_sort}/{series}{series_index}{title} - {authors}" and then doing a filename sort in the Opus. But, it'd be really nice if the Opus displayed the actual series name and number in the browse screen, instead of me needing to remember "OK, the book 'The Llama Crows at Midnight' starts off 'The Tales of the Llama' series, which goes for five books, then 'Bob The Donkey' starts off 'Stories of the Animal Kingdom' for another 8 books" etc. I looked at the Opus output profile plugin, and the Opus Device Interface plugin, but nothing there seemed to be useful. In reading, I tend to think it's a generic problem (I've read epub doesn't really have a field for "series" and that readers don't really support it). But, to keep it on-topic for Calibre, assuming that's the case, is there a way to change the book's title on the way to the device to tack on the series name/number onto the beginning/end of the title as it exists in Calibre? Maybe something similar to the save file template? Then I could do '{title} {series} {series_index}" or whatever and have that show up as the book's title. |

Series info is a limitation of EPUB not supporting it. There is no way and no plans to allow for something like the file name template in regard to setting the book's title.

I don't know if the ePub FW is the same, but I do it in a trick way. With Mobipocket FW, Publisher is shown at the library view, so I put my series and series number in that place. Not standard, automatic (I have a bat file that fill series, index and publisher at the same time) and right for me.
