Only the Ebooks not folders

I noticed that the EZ reader guide books (one in English and one in Japanese..Ta to Robertb an Co. First company with directions in Japanese for my three readers) are not in folders. I would like to have all my books listed this way. Does anyone know a way to do this with Calibre....?

I am sure I could do it manually but wondered if there was a quick way.

I don't recommend having hundreds of entries in a top level folder (FAT file system limitations apply)
Make folders and put your books, music, pictures in those
The layer with "Recently Read, System Restore" should be lean and mean.
Folder names should also avoid spaces "Science_Fiction" has no space :P

mmm. What limitations?

I just took my books out of the folders and deleted the forlders. Now only the books are listed. Much more convienent and less button pushing for me. I never use the folder systems on any of my readers.....plus....

I put a maximum of 30 books on my reader at a time....

You will not have problems.
From the Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Allocation_Table
Code:
Maximum number of root directory entries. Only used on FAT12 and FAT16, where the root directory is handled specially. Should be 0 for FAT32. This value should always be such that the root directory ends on a sector boundary (i.e. such that its size becomes a multiple of the sector size). 224 is typical for floppy disks.

I like having folders by file format type and then by subject. I find having an organized library keep it real clean for finding things. I have over 300 books on there now.

I think that is a good idea for organizing..... for you..However, I only have 30 to 40 books max on my reader and find the folders actually annoying. Just less clicking for me to have no folders.... I only read 3-5 books at the same time anyways....

Once you start reading, you can just use "Recently Read" to return to the Page Beginning (no always the last screen) last viewed. for that title. The list holds 32 titles before the start dropping off.

For that few then folders would be overkill. I would try some like this so it sorts better. Add a genre in bold so you can sort them by name and they will cluster.

Example: MYSTERY_XXXXX.epub HISTORY_xxxxxx.epub

That might help group them better?
