Can't authorise reader using ADE on MAC

Just bought a PRS-300 today. Installed Sony Reader Library and the reader is recognised and listed. Installed ADE and authorised my MAC. However, I don't get a pop up in ADE to authorise the reader.

Anyone any ideas what might be wrong?

Sony Reader Library: 3.1.00.12070
ADE: 1.7.1.1085
OS X: 10.6.2

I should also point out that I'm in the UK so need to get this to work before I can transfer purchased books; we don't have the reader store :-(

I've managed to get my Windows XP netbook setup without any problems. I might just end up using the netbook as I will then be able to purchase books away from home.

ADE doesn't recognize my Reader either. If you're purchasing books from the Reader Store or downloading library books, you don't need ADE (except just to authorize your computer). Perhaps someone else will chime in.

Edit: I use a Mac as well.

use the xp to authorize the reader on ADE. Once you do that you will be able to use your reader with ADE on your Mac. Remember you authorize the device to the account, not to the computer

@alfredopp

Thanks very much for your help. I can now transfer ebooks bought on my Mac to my reader.

You can also use the Sony Library software to authorize your readers on the Mac.
