I've stumbled into ebooks as a side-effect of a challenging non-credit Bible class I've been taking. It's on the Old Testament and in order to get through the readings I found myself in odd moments reading in my Pocket PC Bible software (which previously I had used only as a reference, not for sustained reading). On a whim I downloaded ebook reader software for my netbook and Pocket PC and now I am actively reading four books in three different (software) readers on two machines. The ereaders are Mobipocket, eReader, and Kindle for PC. (The first two of those have versions for both PC and Pocket PC.) I have been hunting for online resources and stumbled upon MobileRead yesterday.

As for interests, the books I'm currently e-reading are Legacies (second novel in the Repairman Jack series), Don Quixote (Ormsby translation), Architects of the Culture of Death (Ignatius Press), and An Inland Journey (Robert Louis Stevenson, from the Gutenberg Project). I also acquired for 20 USD the 38 volume Ante-Nicene, Nicene, and Post-Nicene Fathers set, but my conclusion is that the ereader software I have cannot support the kinds of reading that such a set of texts requires. One needs software with the kinds of features found in Bible study software, for instance lists of search hits rather than "find next / find previous" searches.

I am looking to get some ebooks in French and Russian. I am looking to find poetry texts, presented well by an ereader.
