Hotsyncing Sunrise documents on a Mac

I’m a Mac OS X 10.3 user. Sunrise XP is only for Windows, so I have Sunrise XP installed on my Windows XP system at my workplace, which in the morning sends me automatically all my Sunrise documents as attachments by email to my home Mac system... Directly to the hotsync folder, ready to hotsync with my Palm. This is all done automatically, so when I wake up I have the newspaper ready to read on my Palm. :-)

The only problem here is that I don’t have a conduit on my Mac for the Sunrise documents, they are installed without a proper conduit... Which means the Plucker files are not updated on my Palm, but instead they coexist... Plucker shows only the newer version though. That forces me to daily delete the older Plucker files on the Palm before hotsyncing the new ones. This is just a minor problem, but is there a solution to correct this behavior?

Thanks
Jorge

If the files are named differently (i.e. no date/time stamp in the filename), then it should overwrite what's on the Palm already. At least this is the way I've seen it work with a Mac, a Clie, and Plucker (which outputs the same format as Sunrise - Plucker format).

If you have a time/date stamp in the filename, try removing it, perhaps?

From what I can tell, the problem is that documents synced from the Mac are stored in /Palm/Launcher (the standard PDB installation directory) while documents synced through the Sunrise XP conduit are stored in /Palm/Programs/Plucker.

I might get round to making the conduit destination directory configurable in a future release. As a workaround, you might want to reinstall Sunrise XP without the conduit. This way the standard Install To Card conduit, which stores documents in /Palm/Launcher, is used.
