Restore pre-installed content

Last week I bought a PSR-600 and a PRS-505 and decided to return the 600 mainly because of the screen. But, stupid me, I format the memory and restore the factory default settings. Because of the format, I have loose all the pre-installed content (eBook, pictures and music).
Is there a way to reinstall this content (I don't have a backup). I bought this item on Borders and before returning it, I want to sure that the reader will be in it's original state, just to be sure that I will be refunded.

Are you talking about the excerpts? If you didn't back 'em up, they're gone.

Yes, I'm talking about the excerpts, the three pictures and the two songs.

They're gone, for good. On both my 505 & now 700, there's been an exerpt that stated if you delete those you can't get them back; I realize I paraphrased this, but it all means the same thing.
