Hi Curly & thanks, lots of info & helpful people here.

I sure I will be when I get it!

It should have been here by now, I ordered by courier deliverery from Waterstones UK.

I had not spotted the thread re their lack of delivery and poor service or I would have bought elsewhere. So I guess I now have to wait the 30 days & try to get a refund. Bought with Visa so I will be making a claim on them.

That's too bad, it seems Waterstones and the parcel company they use have not been offering a very good service recently.

Well, now I have it I must say I am very impressed!.

Not having seen one "in the flesh" before deciding to buy I had only illustrations & the comments of you guys. I must say that it lives up to what you all have said.https://www.mobileread.com/forums/ima...1/thumbsup.gif
As a bonus I am experiencing less eye strain than a paper book - strange! and much much less than reading on my notebook. Although I did find the background a bit grey to start with, do they lighten with use? or have I just acclimatized .

The reason for the delivery delay was because it was sitting in the courier's depot over an address query. They could not call me to check because Waterstones, the UK courier, or whoever had not put my contact telephone number on the packet or passed it on electronically. Irritating as I made a point it was essential.
If I had not had to chase Waterstones so many times for the tracking number, (which I only managed to get in the end by threatening them with the wrath of Visa), I would have had it within the time stated. Instead it just sat and sat with nobody doing anything about it. Presumably after the 30 days being returned to source.

Hi Columbus, welcome to the forum. A little off-topic, but what is the weather like in Spain around late November? I see that it's a bit chilly and rainfall averages about 1.5 inches, but are there sunny days? I'm mostly wondering about weather in Barcelona and Madrid. Thanks and congrats on your PRS-505.

Hi teaberry

Over the many years I have lived here I would say that the weather that time of year is good. Even had a picnic out in the country one Xmas day. But the last few years it has been unpredictable as the rest of the world. Couple of years ago it rained almost every day in November on the Costa Blanca.

You could in a normal year expect many more sunny days than not.
