Manual or "smart" scrolling when reading comics
It's great to be able to read comics with KOReader, especially on the reMarkable, with a large screen (and a very deficient stock reader).
I miss, however, a couple of features that could be much nicer. Before creating a feature request, I want to make sure it's not already there and I just missed it. The issue is that if not showing the full page, there will often be cut panels, and going to the next "page", depending on the overlap and the page layout, may just show another portion of the panels, but not necessarily whole ones. What I'd like is to drag the page up/down some, so I can view the panel. It's OK if the image is not displayed "live" while dragging, and only at the end (as happens for instance when dragging dialog boxes). Alternatively, and even better, I'd like the "page" overlap to be smart and stop at panel boundaries, to ensure that the panel that are cut in one screen are shown complete in the next one, if possible. There's already some logic to autodetect panels, because there's panel zoom, so I guess it could be leveraged for this. Is something like this already there? Has it been discussed and rejected before? |
