Hello - Newbie looking for Addons for NickelMenu

Hi, I recently bought a Kobo Clara Colour to help me get into reading books with minimal hassle that comes with the bulkiness and heaviness of bringing books everywhere.

I was researching about my KCC and came across NickelMenu and KOReader which I looked into a little. Ive noticed that my device has hardware capabilities
that are not put to use natively which frustrates me, so I found this forum website to dig deeper into improving the device on top of the original software with addons for nickelmenu.

Not entirely sure what capabilities and addons are available currently...

NickelMenu and KOReader are available for the recent Kobo models (I don't use them, so you'll have to ask in the Kobo forum for more information). There are also various patches and modifications to the configuration file. I do use those, but unfortunately several patches don't work with recent firmware versions which the latest Kobo models use.

The reason they're currently not working is because their main developer has not had enough time in the last couple of years to look into it.

The other reason they don't work is Kobo made major changes to the firmware for the new devices, so updating the patches is not as simple as it is for most firmware updates. Some things have to be remade from scratch.
