File type plugin HTML to ZIP
Hello ownedbycats,

if you add a html file to calibre and it becomes a ZIP file then the File type plugin HTML to ZIP is activated. You can deactivate the plugin when you open the plugin page.

Because HTML can (usually) be multiple files. HTML chapters (1 or more), Images, Style sheets, fonts

The Zip is a wrapper to keep the package whole. RAR does similar because In Calibre, you can only have 1 of any extension per book
