Quick question about backing up Calibre

I have copied and saved both my Calibre library folder and the config folder to an external hard drive that will be stored unplugged from the computer, to be used only in recovering my library/ books if the worst happens.

I plan to copy the library folder (containing my books) once a month, I am assuming that unless I add a new plugin there is no need to keep copying the config folder every time? Is that a correct assumption?

Any help/ thoughts much appreciated

You should also copy it when you have updated either calibre or any of the plugins.

But there is no need to manually copy the entire folder every time. Many of us use FreeFileSync (mirror mode) or something like that to update our backup copies. The same goes for the library folder.

In my opinion definitely not correct, the config folder has a lot more in it than plugins.

Use chaley's Backup configuration folder(s) plugin.
