unwanted swap of Author and Title?

updating cannot swap titles and authors and you can do the swap yourself using the bulk metadata edit dialog.

You must have done something else other than a simple upgrade of a existing Calibre Library. . .

Any changes due to (rare) lost settings would only affect the Latest adds. The rest are in the DB as is.

This setting (image) affects imported books (by file name)

The Quality check plugin can detect author name errors (with or without commas) and then you can use FIX to bring THOSE SELECTED, into line

Thanks for your reply. The problem was I had incorrectly used bulk swop of author and title. It was not a Calibre problem.
