I use very few of the many functions JobSpy supports and have a couple of scripts that allow me to duplicate those functions if/when JobSpy breaks. I'm assuming that it will break sooner or later since @DaltonST was on MobileRead less and less over several years and has not connected since July, 2023.

These are the JS features I'm aware I use currently:

"GUI_TOOLS_LIBRARY_VIEW_ALTERNATING_COLOR": "#161649",
"GUI_TOOLS_LIBRARY_VIEW_BACKGROUND_COLOR": "black",]
"GUI_TOOLS_SEARCHBAR_ADDITIONAL_HISTORY"
"GUI_TOOLS_UPDATE_LAST_VIEWED_CUSTOM_COLUMN_AU TOMA TICALLY_COLUMN_NAME": "#last_viewed"

Last two are essential to me; the library view row colors customisation has been somewhat superseded by Calibre's built-in correspondent feature.

I'm afraid we may never have an update on Dalton's long-time MIA...

Numbering the features, and having people reply with the number of each feature they are interested in—in a code box or something like this—can help easily collate the information later.

For example

Code:
3 25 36
It would be a matter of copying and using a command line tool like "sort" to sort the features by how many people are interested in them.

Thanks, for taking care and asking.

I use

- Utility tools: List Active Keyboard Shortcut Assignments
- Metadata related tools: Autofill Custom Columns via Keyboard Shortcuts [Menu]
-Metadata related tools: Visualize Metadata (two or three times, as it has an export function as well)

See new text file in first post - but I doubt there'll be more than a dozen responses.

I went back and reviewed my usage. At this time, the only JobSpy tool I use on a regular basis is M11 (Set Last-Modified Date to Date-Added (Timestamp) [Selected Books]).

Since I only have two libraries and no VLs, many of the tools are not that useful to me. I used to make use of more of them such as vacuuming but now use calibre's tools for most of those tasks.

The main one I use is the Tag Browser Icon Assignment.

Visualize Metadata. I'd find it more useful if it also covered composite columns,

Notes Viewer. Especially with the longtext fanfiction metadata.

Book-Identifier Matrix.

I wrote and meant M11 which is Set Last-Modified Data to Data-Added etc.

Were you counting the line break with Bulk Update Chosen 'Comments/Long Text' Custom Column from Clipboard Text [Selected Books] where the Books] shows on a second line?

The truth is that the world of @DaltonST plugins is too wide to not take advantage of the code or work already done.

I recently asked about importing from a csv and the plugin has the possibility of obtaining graphics

M24 Visualize Metadata
M25 Import CSV File to Update Metadata

Ironically, that's what kept me away from JobSpy: It way way too big.
I can understand why it's easy to get everything in one big package, but I think a lot of features would have benefited from being divided into smaller plugins, which would have been easier to take over and maintain according to the needs of the community.

If somes feature would benefit from being added directly to Calibre, it could be sometime better to take advantage of Calibre's great modularity and to just extract some feature into their own plugin.

Like, I could be make a plugin for 'M24 Visualize Metadata' and another for 'M25 Import CSV File to Update Metadata'. This both don't seem to fit to Calibre for me, but I cleary can see the use of such tools.
