Published BCE
Hi,
I like to organise my books along their original dates. Gives you an eye opening perspective. Unfortunately Calibre does not seem to like negative publish dates, does not even accept dates prior to 0111. So if got a Book by Plato, written like 400 BCE, I can not enter the publish date. What I came up with is inserting a second field call it BCE and enter positive numbers. Still wondering if there is a way to enter BCE publish dates in the original field. Any ideas? |

No calibre does not support dates before approx 100 AD, That old dates are meaningless anyway the best you can get is a guesstimate of a year, likely to be off by decades. Use a custom column for that.
