I always entered the date manually without the time and time zone
Cofiguration and Example: gui_pubdate_display_format = 'dd.MM.yyyy' Metadata book (metadata.opf):
Metadata catalogue (metadata.opf) of this book: 2023-10-20 16:03:33.052034+00:002021-09-15 22:00:00+00:00 but 2021-09-16 was entered |

I also raised the problem a few days ago. At least I think it's the same problem.

I just installed the latest version of Calibre (7.0) and the problem is not resolved. I entered the publication date in a book (01 Jun 1973) but it appears 31 May 1973 (see the attached image).

I am on windows 10, time zone is CET (UTC+01:00) and daylight saving is set to automatically.
Calibre release is 7.18, just updated to 7.21 with the same behaviour. I created books during last year's daylight saving period (summer time) and the date fields were displayed as e.g. 2023-07-15 00:00:00. If the daylight saving period was over (winter time) the display of dates changed to e.g. 2023-07-14 23:00:00. Starting with this year's daylight saving period the display changed back to 2023-07-15 00:00:00. But if an event (like publication of a book) took place on 2023-07-15 at 3 o'clock pm the date should - from my view - always be shown as 2024-07-15 15:00:00 regardless of any time zone or daylight saving settings. Is there any way to keep the date display unchanged? |
