Clara HD Clara HD stuck while Restoring

Side loaded the wrong firmware (for Clara Color) update to my Clara HD. Set up restoring via my iMac. The restoring window shows 5 cubes and notes "Restoring" but nothing further. It will not mount on my iMac. Suspect I bricked it. Any help would be welcome

Before you try the firmware image, have you tried the manual factory reset for the Clara HD?

Connect your eReader to a power source by doing one of the following:
Press and hold the power button until you see the words “Powered off” on the screen and until the power light turns off. If this doesn't happen, hold the power button for ~30 seconds.
Release the power button.
Press and hold the power button until the power light turns off.
Your eReader will start the factory reset process. You should see a black screen that tells you the eReader is resetting. Do not turn off your eReader during this process.
