When will Pocket work on Kobo again?

Hi! I've tried to search both here, Reddit and on Google for an update on when the Pocket integration will work on Kobo again, but I haven't found anything. When the move to Mozilla/Firefox was announced they said that you could keep your old Pocket login, which would continue to work on Kobo. However, I had an email from Pocket that said if I didn't make the switch to Mozilla/Firefox before August 15th, I would lose my Pocket account. So I switched. And now Pocket doesn't work on my Kobo of course. From what I've seen, both Kobo and Mozilla have said that this shouldn't affect existing accounts and that they are working on integration for the new accounts, but as they are forcing everyone to switch before August 15th it doesn't only affect new accounts, but old accounts that have to be switched as well. Or was I a fool that made the switch and could have kept it going after August 15th? Do we have any idea of how long it will take for them to "work on it" with regards to compatibility with the new Mozilla/Firefox accounts?

You can't login to pocket on kobo with your Firefox account (at least at the present); you have to use a separate password. I had my Firefox account before I used pocket or had a kobo, and since I used that to login on my laptop, I had to do as in the below link to enable pocket to work with the kobo. This was long ago, so I'm not sure it still works, but perhaps give it a try.

Thanks so much! It worked. I had saved my account details from the Pocket login in my password manager and tried both those details and the new Firefox login but neither of them worked. The question is now whether I will get prompted to switch my account again (if the system thinks I have an old version) or if my created Firefox account is enough for now (even if it's not what I am signed into on my Kobo).

So far I haven't seen any issues with using Pocket but I'm not a heavy user.

I am quite a heavy user, and I'm not having any difficulty syncing. Do you get any particular error message, or does syncing silently fail?

New sync issue?

Pocket was working fine on my Kobo Elipsa till last week, but there seems to be a new sync issue since Saturday: "Something went wrong" and no new articles arriving. At least one Clara BW user has the same issue, as described in this Lemmy thread: https://sh.itjust.works/post/19063423

Unfortunately, I tried signing out of Pocket to fix this, which didn't help but means I lost access even to the articles that had already been synced earlier

Also a PSA: I had my Kobo on sideload mode, but signing into Pocket kept failing with an "Unauthorised" error on Kobo's end. Signing into my Kobo account fixed that problem (I was able to sign in to Pocket, although articles still failed to sync once I was in). So if you're in sideload mode and signed in to Pocket, you might want to stay that way and avoid getting yourself signed out!

Kobo tech support has been notified of the issue and is working on it. At this time, it's not certain if the issue is on Pocket's or Kobo's end.

I was notified that Pocket has pushed a fix and I can confirm that Pocket articles sync to my Sage and Libra Colour again.

It still seems to be broken for me. I tried removing my account and linking again and I can't even link it anymore.

Edit: Scratch that. I kept trying to link and it eventually worked and my articles synced afterwards.

Yep, I got an email from Kobo yesterday (or was it the day before?) and Pocket sync is working for me too.

I'm yet to switch back to sideload mode >.< so will let y'all know how that goes when I do. I may procrastinate a bit since I heard it clears away sideloaded books and I'll have to copy them back, which is annoying.
