Google Drive on Clara 2E

Hello, I hope this is the right place to post this ask, but could someone, please, explain to me how to add Google Drive on my Clara 2E? I managed to add it almost 2 years ago, then stopped using it until a couple of days ago when I uploaded the lastest Kobo firmware and noticed that Google Drive didn't work anymore. I tried to follow all the instructions I could find but I couldn't make it work.

PS. I don't know if this matters but I already have NickelMenu on my device and it works and I also use KoboPatchFan (the app for desktop) cause that was the easier way for me to add the patches I needed.

Thank you! This is one of the instructions I followed but it didn't work.

Edit: I just read in that link that other people are having issues.

I use this instruction to set Google Drive on my Clara 2E. It will work when you use modified koboroot.tgz for nickelmenu provided in the link

I did it but I guess I've done something wrong . I'll try it again asap! There's another thing that I didn't understand, where do I need to copy the link to my Google Drive?

Connect Kobo to PC, go to folder .kobo/kobo (you need to activate the hidden view on Windows Explorer), and find Kobo eReader.conf, open it with text application like notepad or notepad++ and copy/modify the following text under One Store Services:

[OneStoreServices] 
googledrive_link_account_start=https://authorize.kobo.com/{region}/{language}/linkcloudstorage/provider/google_drive
kobo_googledrive_link_account_enabled=True

disconnect Kobo from PC and restart it.

So, at first I managed to make it work. I was simply forgetting to disconnect Kobo from pc even after having added the modified koboroot to the .kobo folder.

BUT once I re-uploaded the kobo patches (I don't know how, but they disappeared during one of my many tries to install Google Drive) it stopped working again. I tried to disable the patches but it still doesn't work and this is the message error I get: "could not dlsym MoreController::godrive (check failed: MoreController_godrive)".

Make sure to disable the "Patch for enabling Google Drive/Dropbox" on all device models. Try to set the Google Drive link again on Kobo eReader.conf

Many thanks for the patience but I give up. I tried again but it still gives me the same error.
Maybe there's something wrong or missing in the patches. I use this app https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=352447 to patch the kobo cause it's so much easier but maybe it misses something to allow Google Drive to work.

Ok then, I use Kobopatch too, and the Google Drive works well.
I don't have/use the "Patch for enabling Google Drive/Dropbox on all device models" on my Kobopatch.

Me neither. In fact I never even saw that patch!

But now I made things worse because, meanwhile I still do have the patches saved on my kobo, the kobopatches app doesn't work anymore and it gives different errors like

1. What you can do is change the line at the beginning of kobopatch.yaml as follows (image 1):

version: 4.38.23038
in: src/kobo-update-4.38.23038.zip
out: out/KoboRoot.tgz
log: out/log.txt

2. Copy the kobopatch.yaml to the KoboPatchFan folder (image 2) and folder kobopatch_save (image 3)
3. Put kobo-update-4.38.23038.zip to the src folder. (image 4)
4. Open KoboPatchFan, go to the Download section and select the firmware (image 5)
5. Go to the Backup patches section, and click Reload (image 6).
6. Go to the Generate patch, click Include backup patches, and click Run (image 7)

Don't use Notepad as the line endings will not be Linux friendly. Use Notepad++ which keeps the correct line endings.
