Hello From the Wet Coast

And I do mean wet - its been raining for two weeks here in Victoria, British Columbia. Need some sun.

Just got a sony prs505 - it has a much brighter screen than the newer model.

Hello JSED and welcome to MobileRead.

Because the PRS-700 has both a touch film and the light-wedge lighting, there's more plastic between the air and the eInk. Some people see that as dimming of the screen and others see it as blurring.

I have a PRS-505 and a Kindle. My hubby bought me the lighted cover for the Sony 505, and I'm enjoying it very much. I wish I could get the same thing for my Kindle.

Hi JSED and welcome to the Forum. I have a 505 and use a clip on light that does the trick. And you are right about a clearer screen
