Best Font for Libra 2
Hi All,
I have a Kobo Aura HD and I have been reading on that using a downloaded version of the Bookerly font (the file says this is from 2014). In fact I started using that font almost immediately after getting the Kobo, so if Kobo have updated their stock fonts, I've not been paying attention. My new Libra 2 arrives in a few days and I was curious whether anyone had any font suggestions.
Thanks!! |

There is no best font. Different people like different things.
My personal favorite is Lexia DaMa. |

My personal favourites are Literata Book and (recently) Tiempos Text. Both great if you like reading at small font sizes.

I'm partial to Serif fonts. Merriweather being my (current) favorite.

My favorite in general has been Isidore for a while. For works with a lot of bold and/or italic passages, like Calibre catalogs or my Spanish grammar, I prefer the sans serif Roboto, which is good for German too. For the "Dictionnaire historique", I like Amasis.
In short, my default is Isidore, but for some books, different fonts may be best, which is why I have so many (19 presently) in my kobos. Some have been favorites in the past and I keep them just in case, and some I keep because they have characters most fonts have not: Calibri, Caudex, Dejavu Serif, Linux Biolinum et Linux Libertine, Noto Sans et Noto Serif, Palatino et Tinos are good for ancient Greek accented characters for instance. |

Put it on my new Forma and really like it! I'm going to have to put it on my Kindle as well. It's just more elegant feeling than Bookerly to my eyes. |

I don't want to pay attention to what font I am reading with, I want a font that allows to read comfortably for longer periods without obtruding. And yes, I tend to be a bit of a font enthusiast.

My favorite sans-serif is Noto Sans. I write a lot about artificial intelligence (AI) and I have a brother named Alan (Al); this font distinguishes them nicely, and just generally looks great -- plus it's free:
