Reader bricked

Hello to everybody,
I´m a new user of this forum and I will try to explain the problem with my simple English.
My girlfriend bricked our Kobo Clara HD.
The last things she done was to disconnect the reader from Calibre without expelling the device. After that she tried to manual reset the reader without success.
I also tried again to reset a lot of times (30 sec + 14 sec, 1 minutes, and other sequences), connecting, charging the battery. No one worked.
At the moment the reader shows the restoring page (from 3 days now). If i connect to charger the power led blinks one time and the remains on. If I hold down the power button long, the led turns off and if I press another time, the led blinks one time and the remains on.
I opened the back cover and tried to disconnect battery and SD card. Nothing changed.
Now I'm waiting for a new SD card and I will search for a tester to check the battery.
Please is there someone that can helps me to understand the right steps to do?
Thank you in advance.
Lorenzo

You may want to check the Memory Upgrade Mod Guide (With Pictures) thread. If your µSD card has been damaged, you can request a replacement image in the Kobo µSD Card Image Requests thread.

Thank you for your answer so fast!
I will try to follow the instruction on the guide.
The second link maybe is not right but I found the right thread "Kobo µSD Card Image Requests" with search command.
