Problems with Apple Ventura 13.5
Hi,
I have been using Calibre with my Apple devices for years and only since updating to OSX Ventura have I had any problem with Calibre. I just opened it up and tried to send some books to my Kindle, it refuses to send them on the basis that it can't find any e-books with a compatible format in my Kindle library. My library has not changed in a few years and contains mostly MOBI and EPUB format books. Calibre can see these but will not open them, convert them or send them to my Paperwhite (which is recognised by the APP). Please Help if you can ! Cheers Mike |

Hmmm... if you open the containing folder, do you see the .mobi or .epub file? Have you run check library?

I would also add that all books in my Calibre Library folder have a valid readable format (mostly MOBI) and an OPF file so Calibre should be showing this in the library ?
I have not personally purchased all of my books, some were given to me by friends etc, is it possible that there is a new security patch that is preventing Calibre from seeing books without a valid purchase 'tag' ?? |

calibre does not have a "valid purchase" tag.
Are you using a cloud backup with your calibre library? If so, make sure it is only running when calibre isn't. Otherwise, you may have an issue with your hard drive. Does Drive Repair show any issues when you ran it? If you can do a screen shot of the results from running Check library, you can use the paperclip/manage attachments tool to attach them to a message. You might also want to try running calibre in debug mode (Preferences => Restart in debug mode), running Check library and then posting the log file though I'm not certain if debug mode will capture the check library events. It sounds like a permissions problem to me, check if calibre has read/write permission for your library.
