Libra 2 battery/charging issues

Hi, I bought a Libra 2 that came almost discharged (in the middle of the first configuration it powered off), put it to charge and in about 30-35 minutes it reached 99%. Then took like another hour to charge 100%. Fearing that it may have a battery problem I left it powered on with light at 25% to test it and it lasted about 48 hours (no page turning, only light on). The second charge was the same, almost instantly reached about 40% of charge, and 99% in half an hour. Then another hour to 100%. Is this normal and will be solved with its autocalibration?

This seems more or less normal. It may improve after a few cycles, it usually takes this to get the battery indicator to show the correct figures.

If you're really not happy with it, send it back for a replacement or refund.

The battery meter is super inaccurate, yes. I've also experienced situations where the meter says 25% left and then suddenly drops to 9%, then it powers off five minutes later. For the time being, ignore what the meter says when it's charging and just leave it plugged in until it says it's fully charged, then make a note of when you started using it and see how many days you get before you have to charge again. I got 18 days of use from my last charge, which seems pretty normal, despite the battery meter showing nonsensical numbers to me.

Thanks guys. For your information, yesterday I returned it and bought another one. It came discharged and put it to charge, but unlike the other one, I didn't initially update the firmware when asked for. As it charged the meter was increasing normally. When it reached 50% o so, I applied the firmware update and when it finished, the meter directly showed 99%... And it kept charging for another hour or so. So the problem seems to be that the firmware update decalibrates the battery meter (at least if it's applied during charging).

I'd recommend charging it up till it thinks it's 100%, then just reading on it like you normally would.
Light set at whatever level you will read at.
Use a sleep cover to put it to sleep when you're not reading (cheaper version, not kobo) or just put it to sleep manually
I do this and don't charge mine more than once a week or so, and read several hours a day.

What I'm saying is just use it like a reader rather than checking and rechecking battery figures, and chances are you'll find you[re happy with it.
