Restore of local deleted books

Hey guys,

I am using a Mac and Tolino Vision 4 HD. I thought about "saving" some Mac disc and deleted the epub files out of the Calibre directory. But now I thought - what about if I loose my Tolino somewhere, then all my collection is gone.

So easy question: is it possible to download all epubs from the attached Tolino on my Mac back onto the local Calibre directory?

Best,
Dirk

I don't have a Mac, but can't you just use "add books" in Calibre and navigate to where the books are stored on the Tolino?

If you haven't emptied the trash, I would suggest moving the deleted books to a new folder and then re-adding the books from that folder to calibre.

As for the remainder of your question, did you try a search on how to copy books from your device to a calibre library?

For instance, will books transfer from device to calibre? was written about 12 years ago but still applies.

Have you actually tried to see if you can import the books from your Tolino to calibre by switching to Device view, selecting a book (or group of books), right clicking and selecting Add to library?

Note that you are likely to find that much of your metadata is likely to be missing in action.

The current version of Calibre has it's own trash. So you can easily restore anything you've deleted. The default time period for auto-delete of the trash is 14-days.

Upgraded to 6.17 and the 'what's new' says there is a button to clear the trash.
I cannot find it and where can can you set the default auto delete.
