Note 5 screen cover

I just acquired a used Note 5(, because I cracked the glass screen lens on my Note Pro.)

The screen seems to be a flexible one, but I am not sure. As I really don't like to crack another e-reader, does anyone know how to make certain?

As flexible screens seem more prone to scratches, I would like a screen cover. ( Because I crack anything, a screen cover seems quite necessary, anyhow.) However, I can only find Note 2 and 3 covers, whilst the Note 5 doesn't have a button.

However, I also don't one that only covers the visible screen. I don't find that useful for a flush bezel.

I've found the price difference to be rather large. Doodroo charges 35€/2, whilst Brotect charges 13€/2. This one is funny. It says that it's compatible with the Note 5 and is 5.5".

Who knows what to buy and from which to stay away? Whether it's better to have hardened glass or 9H glass with plastic inside or PETP?

Ok, so:
1) The screen itself is Mobius, flexible one. HOWEVER
2) It has the Asahi Glass on top of it, which is prone to cracks, but is designed to protect the screen itself.

Look for My Deep Guide channel. Voja made a few good comparisons of screen protector brands w.r.t. clarity and writing feel. Choose the one you like the most

And that's exactly why I am wondering whether I have a non-glass lens. It has minor scratches. However, it does feel a wee bit cooler than my NotePro from which I had to remove the glass lens.

Reading through this thread about Air2 versus Note5 this comparison table was linked. It indeed shows that the Air and Note3 have the AG glass. The Air2 glass remains unspecified and the Note5 only says flat coverlens.
I remember that the Dutch importer of Onyx Boox wrote in an email to my friend that the flexible Note5 could not be supplied anymore and only the Note5's with glass cover lens remained.

So does anyone know how to discriminate between the two?
If it's glass, should I get 9H or HD glass on top of it?
If it's plastic, I could probably can get away with one of those feels-like-real-paper-foils, e.g. Doodroo.

There are 2 different 10.3 EInk modules.
The glass displays have the connection on the broad side, therefore they look like for landscape (Note Air 1/2/2+, Tab Ultra).
The Mobius displays have the connection on the narrow side - hence their shape with the thick edge below.

Yes, odd that. I really thought that they had a variant with a flexible lens, too. Makes much more sense with all those cracked glass lenses.

Well, I ordered 9H tempered matte glass from Brotect. Hopefully the touch response won't worsen and can be compensated with touch sensitivity. Wonder what I can expect for the Wacom layer.

The Brotect is a tad too large. About 0.5mm on all sides. I've attached images. Dust is already gathering and I expect them to further loosen. That's 15€ lost.

I wouldn't use anything at all - each additional layer degrades the image quality and of course the sensitivity.
The only device I use a "protector" is my Inkpalm5 - to avoid the glossy mirror.

Although I applaud you optimism, my Note Pro already cracked and that was tempered glass with the touch screen functionality.

10.3” Flush Glass-based Screen: The screen is completely flush with the bezel, scratch-resistant, and non-glare.

So basically, they claim the same without naming it explicitly.

Let's assume it's not just better marketing and the glass lens is indeed different from the Note Pro.

However, next snippet suggests that the improvement allows a flush bezel abandoning frame edges. The Note Pro already had that, so than they couldn't be different.

Looking at the difference in specs another spec of the Note 5 caught my eye: "The device has a thin, lightweight body with a back panel of tempered glass, the reader's screen is covered with protective glass Asahi." So if you're right, I've put the protector on the wrong side.

I only know the Note 5 from the description, so I don't know how it is actually built.
I got my Boox Note experiences from Note Air 1 and from the Tab Ultra - I don't use a protective film with either of them.
It may improve writing feel, but degrade picture quality.
