Add Automatically new page
Hello there,
It seems that when we have too much characters at one page (html page), all of them are truncated. How can I adapt my source code to create automatically another page if I have too much characters ? |

Hello - and welcome to MR!
I'm not sure exactly what is going on...html pages don't have a character limit. Can you explain in a little more detail? |

In fact in SIGIL editor to make my EBOOK, I have a HTML page with lot of characters. But on the preview page generated, the text is truncated and the same in my e-reader.

Is this a fixed layout epub? Maybe a screen cap would help?

There's probably some negative margins or 'pre' tags/css that causes text to run off the screen. Hence the mistaken notion that there's been some sort of limitation being reached. Either that, or there's unsupported fixed layout stuff going on.
Older versions of Sigil might have run into a 10Mb webengine limitation, but I have no idea how it might have manifested, and that's been fixed for quite a few releases, now. Last edited by DiapDealer; 07-17-2022 at 12:50 PM. |

Unfortunately, the issue is in one of your two css files. Either page-styles.css or stylesheet.css.
Please open each in CodeView and screen capture their contents and post them here. Or alternatively just unzip your epub and zip up those two css files and post them here as an attachment. |

try removing the class attribute and its contents from the offending paragraph.

It works, when I remove for example : "<div class="frame_10">", there aren't truncated paragraphs.
But how can I do that easely for all my HTML page (around 200 pages) ? |

Action type: delete Tag name: div Having the attribute: class Whose value is frame_[0-9] This seems to have removed all the div class="frame_xx]/</div> pairs. See the attached file. One quick question is why this epub seems to have been made with each page as a separate file. Almost like it was a fixed layout epub that was mangled into a reflowable format. |

Perfect analysis. Yes, each block and frame has specific fixed widths and fixed heights with overflow: hidden.
This does appear as if someone took a fixed layout epub3 and shoehorned it into a reflowable epub2. The resulting css is truly horrible for a reflowable epub. Perhaps you (pitipilot) might want to think about stripping out all the css classes and starting over from scratch with much more minimalist cross platform css suitable for a reflowable epub. Quote:
