Shortcuts don't work in Saved searches etc.
Linux Mint 20.1 / Calibre 5.38
A few issues with "Saved Searches": (1) When the Saved Searches sidebar is open, the keyboard shortcuts for Find / Replace / Replace & Find don't work. 2. Also, if you open on a page that doesn't contain the desired string, but which exists on another page in the book, "Saved Searches" cannot find the string (even if the search is set to "All Text Files"). This contrasts with the standard "Find and replace" toolbar where this happens as expected. 3. You can't decrease the width of the "Saved Searches" sidebar. Also when you close the "Saved Searches" sidebar, you find that the file browser has not returned to its original width (if this was narrower). Last edited by paperback; 03-16-2022 at 03:31 PM. |

I've double-checked and the shortcuts definately don't work. Closing the Saved Searches sidebar restores them. Perhaps the issue is platform-specific?

Just to clarify. I'm referrring only to the keyboard shortcuts for the function keys: i.e. Alt + F for FIND; Alt + R for Replace, etc. There also seems to be a shortcut conflict for Alt + D (FIND) in the standard S&R toolbar.

@paperback
Saved Search (the dialog box) uses its own shortcuts. (alt+<underlined character>) when it has focus. This is different from the ones used in the normal S&R box |

I've checked and rechecked again and again. Even with the focus on saved searches, the (saved searches) shortcuts do not work.
Perhaps it's something specific to the Linux Mint platform. |
