Help solve the problem with my Kindle

I'm having trouble with my Kindle.
His number is d01100, I don't remember him from 2012 or 2013. And now for some reason I stopped turning on. Advise what to do to make the Kindle work? It charges according to the indicator and the laptop sees it.
help me please

Have you tried charging it for 24 hours, preferably from a wall charger?
If this doesn't work, the battery is probably dead. This is a very old kindle, may be time to replace it.

No, I haven't tried to charge for so long. I charged until the light turned green. I will try this way.

Also, I remember that at the beginning of using it there were also problems that it did not work and did not turn on, so at that time I found a way to reflash and everything was ok. So I thought that maybe now you can try to do something like that and it will help? But now I do not understand what exactly could be tried to do.

You need someone more technical than me to answer this. Hopefully, someone will come along to help you.
Have you charged it for 24 hours - from the mains, not from the usb? This is a standard fix for a battery which has been run down.
After this charging, restart your kindle. On most kindles this is done by pressing and holding the power button. I'm not familiar with your particular kindle; from what I understand, it does not have a touchscreen. After pressing and holding the power button somehow navigate, probably using buttons, to the 'restart' option which should appear.

You really need a techie to help you.

The screen won't turn on?

You mentioned device still charges and that your computer still detects it. Either way, you most probably have to replace a part.

Getting a second hand newer model Kindle would probably be much cheaper than trying to fix that, to be honest.

lmao. that's as far as a kindle techie I am.

But based on the OP's symptoms, they would have to open the kindle up to see what exactly is wrong.

The Kindle 4th Gen (with no touch screen) was released September 28, 2011. That's 10 years 5 months ago. I would not be surprised if the battery was shot or the power button is flaky. I don't recall if it support a sleep cover.

Given the advancements, I would defiantly go for a new Reader.

Be careful of where you get a second hand Kindle. I've read of a number of people getting a Kindle from eBay only to find out it's been blacklisted. That means no registering it and no syncing from Amazon.

Ooooh. This didn't even cross my mind. But now I'm curious. How does one get a Kindle blacklisted? Like stolen or something?
