Kobo Clara Light No Longer Works

After dropping my Kobo down the steps, the light stopped working and periodically (say after months of not working) will turn back on for a few days before going dark. Is there any ideas on how to maybe get this working again? I am out of warranty otherwise I would reach out for help with them.

The only thing I can think of is to check the cable is seated correctly. The back is easy to remove. There are three cables to the screen. The largest is for the image and the two smaller for the light and touch. I think the light is at the bottom. I would check it is not damage and reseat it. If it is at the other end, you would need to remove the front bezel to check that.
