[Kobo] Can't connect via USB. File system busy...
I can't connect my Kobo to my competer via USB port. KOreader always says "file system busy...will restart" kind of. It didn't happen before but I'm not sure it started to behave like this from when.

I'm going to need the full details of what's actually shown on screen.
(Or the system logs). |

Hi. Dropbear (the SSH server) is running from the partition you're trying to export via usb. You should disable the SSH server before starting an USBMS session.
Or, better yet, switch to NiLuJe tools, which include the same ssh server (and other goodies), running by default at boot and outside the mountpoint you're trying to export. |

Edit: I figured it out. It's because I left SSH on all the time. I thought I just need to turn off Wi-fi to disable SSH, but obviously it's not the case. SSH still affects somehow even if there's no internet. Last edited by xversion1; 06-11-2022 at 03:27 AM. |

The only workaround for OSes to "force unmount" a filesystem with opened files inside is to get a list of file descriptors for the given mountpoint and kill the processes that hold those descriptors. |

![]() By the way, I have already run koboroot from other sources on my Kobo several times to fix other something, like language display. Do all those things I fixed gone if I use NiLuJe's tool? I'm afraid it will overwrite them. |
