chromebook doesn't recognise Kindle
Hi - really sorry but new to site so not sure whether this post is correc t
Running Kindle on chromebook via Linux. Your chromebook is not seeing *any* usb devices, probably because its usb subsytem is disabled. See the line

The Chromebook Unix system does not provide the support required for usb device detection.

What I don't understand is why the system has operated previously without any problems?The none recognition is a new issue

On a Chromebook I've used with Crostini, a ChromeOS update broke it's USB subsystem. From what little I was able to find out, it was broken due to a security update.

I've just connected an external hard drive via usb and am able to write to and transfer data/folders. Doesn't this infer its a problem with Calibre?
