Post How do I jailbreak my Kindle Paperwhite 2021?
I recently bought a Kindle Paperwhite (I'm new into this), I want to have a custom lock screen for it but it requires jailbreak to do it so and I need help.

AFAIK you can't jailbreak the newest Paperwhites.

No one knows. Perhaps someone will find a way; perhaps not. Don't count on it.

If you want a heavily customizable reader (including, but not limited to, custom screensavers), buy a Kobo. The latest crop (the Sage and the Libra 2) are quite good.

People have had issues with even the Jailbreakable Kindles unbreaking themselves randomly.

As the other poster said, KOBO is the more solid choice if you want something like KO Reader or anything like that.

There might never be another new kindle jailbreak, but it might happen. (probably not anytime soon.)

But "random" loss of jailbreak has only happened when proper precautions were not taken.

As others have said, there’s no guarantee.

As both a Kobo & Kindle owner, I disagree that you should be encouraged to run out and buy another ereader right after you bought a Kindle. What they say about Kobos being modifiable may be true, but it’s not going to help you solve your Kindle problem.

For now, you’ll have to live with the default Kindle screensaver. People are always tweaking their Kindles. Just keep your ear on the forums. A year ago, we didn’t have this screensaver feature on our Kindles. Somebody might come out with a fix, but Amazon could realease an update to address your needs as well. We just don’t know.
