Feature Request Timer for Viewer
Not sure how hard this would be, I use the clock in header feature. But I'd love to have a countdown timer or stopwatch in the book header or footer. Sometimes you get lost in the text and have no idea how long you've actually been reading.
Right now I use a separate program, but like I said it'd be great to have it if it didn't take a lot of work. |

There is a time left in book feature already, that's what i use. Make a note of time at start and then i can know how long i've been reading.

I tried to use that, but it always just displays Calculating... never resolves to a time. I read in tts mode almost exclusively, and I figured that maybe why it didn't display a time for me.

I love TTS mode, I follow the text along, it's so much better then an audio book. Sometimes I wonder if I'm a little dyslexic, not sure if that is a thing, like a little bit pregnant. Anyways TTS keeps me right in the text, I read much faster and have much better comprehension then straight reading. I'm so thankful that you implemented it.
I used to read everything on my phone or tablet in moonreader+ with tts until I upgraded my Portable Calibre to 5.0 and started reading everything in Viewer instead. I have a countdown timer app that I set the # of minutes in the book, figured from 320 wpm and off I go. No need to fix page turns for me I love it just the way it is. |
