Kobo Glo HD wont start

Hi,

I have an old Glo HD. I think it got halfway through an update and ran out of power. The device no longer boots.
I have recharged for several hours.
I have pressed the power button for 30 seconds
I have tried pressing the factory reset button with a paper clip.
I have opened up the case and removed the battery for 30 seconds.

None of these actions have helped.
The device is still phyically functioning. After long pressing the power button the screen goes off then comes back white with the backlight on. Then three circles appear in the middle of the screen appear for a while - then they freeze and nothing else happens.

I would like to put in a new Sd card but need to be able to get an image from somewhere (and probably some instructions for how to format and lay the image onto the card).

Is there anyone here that can help me with this?

Firstly, the Glo HD does not have a "factory reset" button. That button is a simple reset button and only does something if the device is running and has hung.

Have you tried an actual factory reset using the last set of instructions on https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kobo_Reset:_Glo_HD?

And if that doesn't work, I have sent a PM with the link to an image.
