Is there a way to add the TOC to the library catalog?
Hello!
Is it possible to include the Table Of Contents (TOC) of the books in the catalog created by Calibre?
This would make it much easier to search through a books such as anthologies, collections of short stories, inter-author collections, etc.
Currently, the catalog reflects only the title of the book and the list of authors, and you have to open each book in order to understand which works are in it.

If the eBooks you want to search are ePub, you can use the Quality Check plugin to search the ToC and any other part of the text.

@oxoma69: There is a plugin that can get the ToC from epubs and PDF and put it into a column. Unfortunately, I can't find it. I remember discussing it with the author and testing it. I don't remember it's name, but, I remember thinking it didn't describe the function of the plugin.

Unfortunately, I haven't succeed with Toc-View-Generator-2.1.zip...
Error description:
calibre, version 5.14.0
Toc write failed:
Cannot write 'Table of Content' information

That is it. I didn't remember that they had changed the name. Though I thought I had searched for "ToC" as well.

I tested it and the problem is that it had not been updated for Python 3. There was only one change needed, and as the author has not been around for a while, I have posted the changed version in the other thread. I have done minimal testing - one book in each of calibre 5.14 and 4.23.
